Lorenzo Latini

Florence, IT - 1989

Filmmaker, light, video and audio technician, video game developer

Born and raised in the Florentine countryside, from an early age he developed a passion for  creating imagined worlds. Taking inspiration from films, comics and books, he creates videos starring toys, family members, cats and chickens... then the first computer arrives in the house and with it the discovery of the magical virtual world of video games.
In 2013, after graduating in Cinema at the DAMS in Bologna, he began working as an assistant set designer and stage technician at the Teatro della Limonaia in Sesto Fiorentino founded by Barbara Nativi and, since the 1980s, an important center for contemporary theatrical creation.

Over the years he has held various roles, ranging from assistant director to organizing theater reviews and managing video footage of shows.

His passion for cinema made itself felt and over time he worked continuously as a cameraman, electrician, stagehand or stage photographer for the production of short films, commercials and music videos.
From 2018 to today he has worked on the development of two video games produced by Studio V and distributed by Leonardo Production: "Dry Downing" (for which he co-wrote the screenplay) and "Shattered Heaven" (as 2D animator and script supervisor).
In the development of his own poetics and possible intersections between cinema, theater and video games, he made his first directorial at the end of 2023 with the introductory short film to the world of "OMNIUM SOMNIUM" premiered at the Giffoni Film Festival.
